Firearms & Toolmarks

Constant evolution to meet the changing needs of laboratories while maintaining excellent value is a hallmark of the CTS program. The Firearms test proves this: starting in 2010 more expended ammunition is included for examination with no increase in price. Your examiner will be presented with diverse types of bullets and cartridges fired from a wide range of weapons (revolvers, semi automatics, rifles, etc) – all resulting in a highly demanding test. For the Toolmarks test a variety of tools and substrates are used. The examiner always receives an actual tool to evaluate. The Serial Number Restoration test has been added as a regularly offered test after a successful research offering in 2009. Together these tests offer variety and even more bang than before.
